CTK Sunday School: Week 5

Pre-K/Elementary

Through the story of Joseph, we learn that God is faithful to his promises to his people, even when it seems impossible. Click here for the at home guide, and here for a recap of the lesson! Also, we will begin practicing our songs for Christmas eve over the next few weeks. If your children attend Sunday school but are unable to participate on Christmas Eve, please let Lauren know.

Middle School

Sal Macaluso is leading our middle schoolers in a reading and discussion of Pilgrim’s Progress. Each student has a copy of the book in the “One Syllable” version that we will be using in the class. This is for your child to keep at home; we will have copies of the same book that we will be using in class. This Pilgrim’s Progress in One Syllables is a version of what we will use, but it still has some if the “Olde English” words which have been updated in what we are using. Encourage your child to read ahead and to let Sal know if they are interested in playing the role of any of the upcoming characters that Christian will encounter on his journey.

This is the Pilgrim’s Progress Study Guide that we will be using in the class. In the guide you will find the Memory Verses that are given out at each class. Please review these verses with your child. Please note that neither the Study Guide nor the online version will have page #s that correspond to the book we are using in the class.

Week #5 in the Study Guide will cover pages 69-84. The characters in this section are the Dreamer, Christian, Faithful and Talkative.

Adults- Fall

God made the world good, and put humans here to make it very good. He gave humanity everything we needed, and he blessed us and called us to walk with him. Things didn’t stay that way. Check out part 1 of our discussion on sin here, and use the handout to follow along.
